First we had Russian money entering the Premiership, then it was the turn of the Yanks followed by Dr Thai and now the Arabs have left the dressing room and entered the playing field.
In a wonderful turbulent day on Monday, the last day of the transfer window and as one Man City fan put it, " We woke up skint and now we are rich," City were taken over by a consortium of Arabs with mega loads of cash to shed.
Shed the cash they did - guzumping Chelsea for the signature of Real Madrid's Robinho for over £32m - a new British transfer record.

What a night. And day to follow (bye bye Cheggers - Special K to his friends). I have my fears for what this new era may bring as it dawns but for now I'm just going to enjoy the thought of Abramovich's face when he found out he'd been gazumped (sorry!)
