OLD RED NOSE STRIKES AGAIN AND THE TWO ABOVE ARE MUCH PRETTIER
Seriously does having SIR before your name give you carte blanche to berate everybody that makes a decision that first was wrong and then the wrong was made right.
Case in example - John Terry's sending-off against Man City on Saturday night. Never a sending off in a million years, but Mark Halsey made his decision and stood by it.
Yesterday the authorities overturned Halsey's decision and Terry's red card was rescinded - Halsey's reward, a one game demotion to League Two this weekend.
Old Red Nose's response was to berate Keith Hackett who told Halsey to change his mind. Sir Red Nose said, "From what I heard, Keith Hackett has told the referee to rescind the red card and he wouldn't do it.
"If it had been a Man Utd player, Keith Hackett wouldn't have done this."
Could Red Nose's remarks have something to do with Man Utd's visit to Stamford Bridge this weekend and now Red Nose HAS to plan his team around the central defensive partnership of Terry and Carvalho?
At the time of writing Utd are 0-0 against Villareal in the Champions League with about 20 minutes to go.
