Awww Poor William Gallas

Obviously the sales of his autobiography aren't going too well.

William Gallas has again lashed out at Chelsea over his departure to Arsenal two years, calling Chelsea 'liars.'

Only a week after being stipped of his Arsenal captaincy and two days before Arsenal travel to Chelsea (surprise, surprise) you would have thought 'cry-baby' Gallas would have kept his big mouth shut.

Obviously not!

Finally Falmer

Finally work on Brighton & Hove Albion's new stadium at Falmer gets underway on 17th December, eight days before Christmas Day.

The Albion have been residing at The Withdean Stadium for god knows how long after moving out of the Goldstone Ground in Hove, many many many years ago.

Finally the club that had 'skint' on their shirts may one day have 'rich' emblazoned on them instead.

The new stadium is due to open for Brighton's first game at the start of the 2010/11 season.

Strange Day Indeed!

What a strange day in the Premiership for the top four.

Chelsea drew 0-0 with Newcastle

Liverpool drew 0-0 with Fulham

Man Utd drew 0-0 with Aston Villa

and the Gooners/Woolwich, lost at Man City 3-0

Now Aston Villa are in the top four and Woolwich are fifth LOL LOL

The Real Latics won at Southend 2-1, their 2nd away League win within a week. Last weekend they won 1-0 at Northampton. The Real Latics are still in the League One promotion shake-up.

Jose v Claudio

Its Jose v Claudio in the San Siro on Saturday as Inter Milan take on Juventus.

Its the first time that the two ex-Chelsea managers have met against each other and there is no love lost between the two, although I am sure that there will 'be some love' between the two when the cameras are switched on.

We all know about Jose's achievements in his time at Chelsea but just take a look a the vid when Chelsea beat Arsenal in the Champions League at 'Crybury,' and check out the emotion of the man that was called 'The Tinkerman.'

Well Did Yer?

As the England game was on 'normal' TV last night - did you bother to watch it?

I know it was only friendly and to be honest a needless and meaningless game to boot, but didn't the 'reserves' do well?

I always treat every England game with contempt, after all they DO flatter to deceive, but I did enjoy last nights action.

Fair play to Captain John Terry - admitting the mistake that led to Germany's equaliser - then goes up the other end and heads the winner.

More of the same JT please starting against Newcastle United on Saturday.

Even Highly Paid Professional Footballers 'DO' Normal

'Twas the weekend of Rio Ferdinand's 30th birthday. Rio was in London as Man Utd were playing Arsenal. His family organised a birthday party for him after the game.

Man Utd lost, so what did Rio do?

On his way over to East London, Rio spotted a pub and asked his driver to stop. His driver said "I can't let you go in there."

Even though Rio was wearing his Man Utd tracksuit, Rio replied "Nah, just drop me off."

The driver did as he was told and Rio then said, "When I walked into the pub I could see people saying to themselves, what is he doing here?"

Rio then explained that he had a couple of pints, three packets of crisps and sat in the corner watching the results on TV. He added, "Players do do normal things."

I wonder what time he turned up at his own party!

The bit that tickled me most about this story was Rio had three packets of crisps - hope they were weightwatchers!

Meanwhile Back in Burnley

Check out the video above and spend the next five minutes or so in your chair, speakers up to the max and enjoy the agony of a 64 year old Burnley fan listening to the penalty shoot-out, on his radio, in the kitchen, in the Carling Cup at Chelsea last Wednesday night.

The footage was taken by the man's son covertly, and the footage covers the agony and the ecstasy of being a 'home in your kitchen' football fan. I am sure that this gent and his son will get 'free' tickets for every Burnley home game in the future.

For the full story, click here.

A WAG in the Jungle

Carly Zucker, the girlfriend of Chelsea and England's Joe Cole is in the Jungle.

Irish By Birth, Ireland By Nature

You know all the Irish jokes, but why would you want to have you head screwed on the wrong way up?

Man City's Stephen Ireland DOES have his head screwed on, cos he scored twice for Man City this afternoon in their draw at Premiership newcomers, Hull City.

Perhaps City's £32m man, Robinho should follow Ireland's example.

Bad Week for Football

Firstly it's been a bad week if your team has been beaten.

Secondly, David Norris of Ipswich Town for his 'handcuff' celebration after he scored against Blackpool.

Thirdly, Chris Morgan's elbow on Barnsley's Ian Hume which left Hume with a fractured skull.

Lastly, the coin throwing incident at Stamford Bridge when Drogba threw a coin back into the Burnley fans - sincerley hope no one was hurt - Burnley have today announced they will track down the Burnley coin-thrower.

What a bad week

Wonder what will happen tonight at Tranmere when Rovers take on Accrington Stanley, FA Cup 1st Round replay?

I Love the FA Cup

I love the thought of the David's taking on the Goliath's and the David's ripping those blonde locks out of Goliath's head.

When I was a kid I grew up loving FA Cup Final day, regardless of who was playing.

Me and my mates use to rotate our houses every year (for years) to gather round and watch the final.

There were some great finals, there were rubbish finals.

We use to have crisps, peanuts, sandwiches, hot-dogs, burgers and coke (before we were old enough to drink) and it used to be a 'real' football party.

Mates, football and FA CUP Final day.

The magic of the FA CUP has not left me since those times. I just love the FA Cup.

Year after year you are guaranteed shocks and surprises.

Take last year's competition for example - who would have thought that Havant & Waterlooville would go to mighty Liverpool and take the lead TWICE - 1-0 and 2-1?

Who would have thought Barnsley would go to Liverpool and win?

Who would have thought Barnsley would have beaten Chelsea and get to the semi-finals of the greatest Cup competition in the World?

I JUST LOVE THE FA CUP

UEFA CUP 3-0 CHAMPIONS LEAGUE

Not a Champions League winner this week amongst the English challengers: Chelsea dismally lost, Arsenal, Man Utd and Liverpool all drew.

In the UEFA Cup however (amongst the flares and fog of White Hart Lane, see above) Tottenham beat Zagreb 4-0, Man City beat Twente Enschede 3-2 and Aston Villa beat Slavia Prague 1-0.

This weekend the best domestic Cup Competition in the World kicks-off - THE FA CUP - It's the first round proper and the first game of the 1st Round is between Leeds United and Northampton at Elland Road, kick-off 7.45pm.

Gerrard a 'Cheat' as well as a 'Hypocrite'

Check out the video above which shows the recent 'dives' of Liverpool's Steven Gerrard and read the quotes from his autobiography (the dive against Atletico is not included) but what is interesting are the words from the gob of Gerrard.

Cheat or hypocrite - OR BOTH?

Incidentially the referee from Tuesday's game at Anfield has admitted he made a mistake. Martin Hansson from Sweden said "From my angle, I am not convinced that it is a penalty but according to UEFA rules I'm not allowed to make any comment on specific match incidents."

Champions League.......

HAVING A LARF

Well Roma had a laugh over Chelsea, Liverpool (lucky bar stewards) had a laugh over Atletico Madrid and Famagusta had a laugh over Jose's Inter.

Let's hope Celtic and Fenerbache can 'do' one's over ManUre and Goonerville respectively tonight.

Rory Delap Who Is He?

Who the hell is Rory Delap? Oh yeah the Stoke City footballer who has got the long throw and whose long throws helped to beat Arsenal on Saturday, 2-1.

Now take a look at the video above from 1970 - Chelsea v Leeds, FA Cup Final replay at Old Trafford to be precise - and at about 2:34 in, watch the long throw which brought about Chelsea's winner scored by David Webb.

The Late Ian Hutchinson, the originator and the King of the long throws - RIP.

Rory Delap, eat your heart out son.

Cheesey Money Money Money Man City

Man City, the richest club in the World, cannot buy an away win in the Premiership apart from their one and only win at Sunderland when they won 3-0. Since then City have lost at Villa 4-2, Bolton (yesterday) 2-0, Middlesboro 2-0, drew in Toon Land 2-2 and lost at Wigan 2-1.

Does Robinho really understand and know where he is?

Will the Arab owners put up with it anymore - after all they did say they wanted Champions League football next season. At this rate, they will be lucky to get UEFA Cup football!!

So have a cheesey 'Money, Money, Money' singalong with the cast of Mamma Mia

MONEY
MONEY

What a Week in Norf London

A week ago 'one day' Ramos (Juande) was Tottenham's manager. In the space of an hour he gets sacked along with Comolli, Poyet and the rest of Tottenham's backroom staff, then Tottenham announce they have paid Portsmouth £5m for the services of Harry Redknapp.

Harry's first game - Tottenham beat Bolton 2-0

Harry's 2nd game - Tottenham travel down the road to Arsenal and draw 4-4, after being 1-0 up, level 1-1, 2-1 down, 3-1 down, 3-2 down, 4-2 down, 4-3 down till those famous last seconds when Aaron Lennon equalises at the end where most of Tottingham's fans had left.

Oh how gutted must you be!!! Paid all that money and missed the comeback of the season (so far)!!!!

On Friday, Goonerville is up in arms. Wenger says this, Adebayor says that, Clichy reduced to tears and Arsenal captain, William Gallas rules himself out of the Stoke game - 'hamstring injury' apparently - the bloke is such a prima donna!! Remember the Birmingham incident last season?

Roll onto Saturday

Arsenal lose at Stoke 2-1
Hull almost embarrass Man Utd but lose 4-3
Tottingham beat Liverpool 2-1

Chelsea beat Sunderland 5-0 and ARE back at the top of the Premiership - with a goal difference of +23.
