Sven on his Way???
Squeaky Bum Time in The Championship
It would take a massive scoreline for Hull City to gain an automatic promotion place - something like THIRTEEN goals when they take on Ipswich Town on the final day, Sunday May 4th and that is if WBA lose their last game at QPR on the same day.
On the other hand if Hull were to beat Ipswich and Leicester beat Stoke, Hull would get an automatic promotion place because they have scored five more goals than Stoke and Stoke would be consigned to the play-offs.
As for Southampton they are at home to Sheff Utd on the last day, but their goal difference is -17.
Leicester City are away to Stoke, Sheff Wed are at home to Norwich City, Blackpool are at home to Watford and finally Coventry City are away at Charlton.
Did you get all that?
Hope so
Come back on Sunday and follow all the last day Championship action here!!!
Who Will Be Singing The LOUDEST Tonight?
West Brom play Southampton at The Hawthorns tonight. A WBA win confirms their promotion back to the Premiership (again).

So What About Oldham Athletic to Whom This Blog is Dedicated Too
The 'Real Latics' won their last home game of the season against relegation threatened Cheltenham Town 2-1 at Boundary Park.
Oldham took the lead in the 16th minute through Smalley, Cheltenham equalised in the 50th minute from the penalty spot through Gillespie and Oldham won the game three minutes from time when Alessandra scored.
It will be League One again for The Real Latics next season as their recent poor away form has let them down from appearing in the play-offs for the 2nd successive season.
The Real Latics League home form finished at:
Played: 23
Won: 10
Drew: 7
Lost: 6
Goals Scored: 32
Goals Conceded: 21
The Real Latics season finishes next Saturday at Gresty Road, the home of Crewe Alexandra.
Football From a Female Perspective
Check out this blog I stumbled across a few minutes ago. Challenged by her lover, Georgina Best has taken a path to learn all about football, because according to her lover, FOR GIRLS WHO CAN'T DO FOOTBALL.
As she wears a Leicester City shirt - perhaps her lover has a point?
And no - the picture above is not her!!!

This Chelsea Record!!
Chelsea 2-1 Man Utd
What a great game. Fantastic sunny day, wonderful atmosphere and a Chelsea win that sees Chelsea level on points with the Champions.
Two goals from Michael Ballack, the first a swooping header in first-half injury time and the second four minutes from time and then five minutes injury time from the penalty spot after Michael Carrick handled.
A Carvalho mistake on the hour saw Wayne Rooney equalise for the Champions, then moments later Rooney went off with an injured thigh.
In the early stages of the first half, Utd's Vidic went off with concussion and a bleeding mouth after his jaw met the force of Dids kneecap. A complete accident.
The reason for the load of blood - Vidic's teeth went through his bottom lip.

Classic, quality!!

Long Time No Post
Let me let you into a little secret, I have been settling in elsewhere writing and doing stuff and earning a few pence from it.
Now I am settled and organised I am back to my best and will be able to concentrate a little more on this and my 'tiny tiny piece of the Internet.'
My last post showed you 'probably the best own goal in the World.'
Last night at Anfield because a SCUMPOOL player scored it - deep, deep, deep into injury time - the vid below is without doubt the 'GREATEST OWN GOAL IN THE WORLD.'
John Arne Riise (wherever you are HEADING!) don't look now!!
Update from the Nou Camp (or Camp Nou)
Ronaldo misses a penalty inside the first two minutes and the game ended 0-0.
Overhyped and underplayed.

THE Greatest Own Goal EVER?!?!?
Imagine you are the goalkeeper who saves the penalty brilliantly as you are minutes away from extra-time in a cup-tie and one of your defenders does this!!!
Watch how many players drop to the floor as if they have been 'platooned,' and check out the player who puts his shirt over his head in shame.
Classic
That's Hungarian Football for you.
A Tale of Two Nigerians
Two Nigerian footballers plying their trade for Portsmouth and Barnsley respectively have 'stole' the FA Cup headlines this weekend when both FA Cup semi-final finals (sponsored by E.ON) were played at the 'new' Wembley for the very first-time.
Firstly Portsmouth's Kanu scored the only goal in their win against WBA on Saturday, controversary again that there was a handball in the build-up to the goal.
Secondly in today's semi-final the hero of Barnsley's battling quarter-final 1-0 win over Chelsea Kayode Odejayi, squandered a clear-cut chance when on a breakway and on his own, with only Cardiff's Enckleman to beat, beat Enckleman but also beat Enckleman's left-hand post.
How he missed only Odejayi knows and no wonder Barnsley's manager Simon Davey got the 'shrinks' in during the week to sort out Odejayi's head. Its obvious they didn't do a very good job!!!
So without extra-time and without penalties, both cup-ties were settled inside 90 mins by the same score, 1-0 and we now know that Portsmouth will take on Cardiff City at Wembley on Saturday 17th May 2008.
I wrote earlier about the Wembley 'corporates' bothering to turn up to both semi-final games - and they did in style. Saturday's game attracted a crowd of over 83,000 and todays crowd was just under 83,000.
So well done!
So now both Portsmouth and Cardiff fans will have to do battle to get those priceless FA CUP Final tickets when last year's finallists Chelsea and Man Utd only received 25,000 each!!

Ebbsfleet Utd Crash at Kidderminster
My first game as a ONE VOTE and ONE SHARE member of Ebbsfleet Utd via MYFOOTBALL.CO.UK ended in disaster as the men from Stonebridge Road crashed and burned away to Kidderminster Harriers tonight.
The result was 2-1 to Kidderminster.
