Other Commitments

For Championship, League One and League Two teams, the season ends this weekend, unless your team is involved in the play-offs which will extend your season by another few weeks.

However for the two gentleman above, Leicester's Milan Mandaric (pic2) and Bournemouth's Jeff Mostyn (pic1), their priorities do not include attending their respective clubs matches as they battle against relegation.
Mandaric's Leicester who play at Championship chasing Stoke City on Sunday need to equal or better Southampton's result, and Mostyn whose cash-strapped Bournemouth (who have already had 10 points deducted this season) travel to promotion chasing Carlisle United some 300 miles away from the South Coast.

Where's the Match?

Yeah yeah yeah I know the footie season is almost at an end, but I think this site which I was drawn to earlier today - is GREAT.

So simple in its concept, its a great time saver for those Armchair fans who want to watch LIVE football on the telly in the UK.

But the site isn't about footie. There are Rugby schedules for both Union and League and there is the Cricket.

Where's the match is simple and it is easy to use and most importantly its FREE.

Just sign up, select your team and off you go.

Sven on his Way???

Reports coming out tonight suggest that Sven Goran Eriksson is leaving Man City. Although Man City say that Eriksson will take training tomorrow (Tuesday), sources close to the Sven one, suggest otherwise.
This story will grow overnight.

Squeaky Bum Time in The Championship

After WBA's 1-1 draw with relegation threatened Southampton tonight at The Hawthorns, WBA have effectively been promoted back into the Premiership by virtue of a massive goal difference over Hull City.

It would take a massive scoreline for Hull City to gain an automatic promotion place - something like THIRTEEN goals when they take on Ipswich Town on the final day, Sunday May 4th and that is if WBA lose their last game at QPR on the same day.

On the other hand if Hull were to beat Ipswich and Leicester beat Stoke, Hull would get an automatic promotion place because they have scored five more goals than Stoke and Stoke would be consigned to the play-offs.

As for Southampton they are at home to Sheff Utd on the last day, but their goal difference is -17.

Leicester City are away to Stoke, Sheff Wed are at home to Norwich City, Blackpool are at home to Watford and finally Coventry City are away at Charlton.

Did you get all that?

Hope so

Come back on Sunday and follow all the last day Championship action here!!!
