Your Complete Guide to the Football League Play-offs: Rochdale v Stockport County
It is a right wet dreary day in London (AGAIN) and the weather is really pissing me off, but we have the final play-off game for promotion to look forward to in North London this afternoon.
Rochdale and Stockport County go head to head for the right to play League One football next season.
Stockport start favourites this afternoon as they have beaten the men from Spotland twice already this season in League Two.
But you know what happened to Goliath?
As usual, score updates will appear in the comments section at regular five minute intervals, unless something happens in between!

Your Complete Guide to the Football League Play-offs: Doncaster Rovers v Leeds United
It is the turn of League One to take centre-stage at Wembley this afternoon as Doncaster Rovers take on Leeds United in the Yorkshire Derby, the first of two 'derbies' this holiday weekend.
For the both these teams to reach this afternoon's play-off is quite remarkable. Leeds started the season with -15 points and a few years ago, Doncaster were playing their football outside of the Football League pyramid.
The game kicks-off at 3pm and expect Wembley to be packed to the rafters.
As usual there will be updates in the comments section at regular five minute intervals, unless of course something happens in between.

Your Complete Guide to the Football League Play-offs: Bristol City v Hull City
Its play-off weekend and the first game to be played is THE £60M Championship decider play-off between Bristol City and Hull City at Wembley this afternoon. The game kicks-off at 3pm.
Just imagine £60m at stake. £60m smackeroos for a season of Football in the Premiership, with WBA and Stoke City already there, City and City will be looking to join them.
I reckon this game is to close to call and I think we are looking at extra-time and penalties.
Come back at 3pm (BST) for all the scores and scorers on what will be exciting afternoon.
As usual, updates will be in five minute intervals, unless something happens in between!!

Scum of the Earth: Joey Barton
Jailed for SIX Months for Assault and Affray after smashing a 16 yr old's face to pulp, just after Christmas 2007.
Scum like Barton does not deserve to be in the privilege position that he is in. Wealth, status and loads of money!!!!
In jail he will have nothing and I hope he rots and I hope his club, Newcastle United do the right thing, and sack him!!
Now back to the Champions League.

The last of the semi-final play-offs was settled last night as Stockport beat Wycombe 1-0 (2-1 on agg) at Edgeley Park.
Stockport now meet Rochdale, who had won earlier in the day, at Wembley on Monday 26th May.
The only goal of the game came in the 7th minute when Liam Dickinson ran from the centre-circle before slipping the ball into the net from inside the area to score his 20th goal of the season.

Your Complete Guide to the Football League Play-offs: Rochdale v Darlington
Rochdale and Darlington played out an entertaining League Two semi-final 2nd Leg at Spotland this lunchtime with Rochdale winning the game 2-1, after going a goal down.
The 2-1 scoreline wasn't enough to send Rochdale through to Wembley. A further 30 minutes extra-time was played and the tie went to a penalty shoot-out.
Rochdale won the shoot-out 5-4 with the unfortunate Jason Kennedy having his penalty saved by Rochdale's Tommy Lee.
Rochdale will play the winners of Stockport County and Wycombe Wanderers in the Final at Wembley on Monday 26th May.

Your Complete Guide to the Football League Play-offs: Doncaster Rovers v Southend United
I cannot believe its only a week ago that the first of the play-offs started and now we have come full circle with tonights match at the Keepmoat Stadium, the 2nd leg of the first game featured.
If you wanna a laugh, to continue my complete guide to the Football League Play-offs, I will miss my fav programme on TV tonight... Dancing with the Stars...... yeah yeah I know its Dancing but I have a history of Dance and I AM rather proud of it, although you wouldn't believe it.
To know more, you will have to get to know me better.
Anyway, the first leg at Roots Hall last Friday ended 0-0 and I have a feeling the 2nd leg tonight will be exciting as the rest of the games that I have witnessed and reported on this week.
The winners of tonight's League One semi-final 2nd Leg will play Leeds United next Sunday 25th May at Wembley.
Odds for a Yorkshire derby in London..... anybody?
The game kicks-off at 7.45pm (UK time) and as usual all updates will appear in the comments section at 5 minute intervals (unless anything happens in between).

Your Complete Guide to the Football League Play-offs: Carlisle Utd v Leeds Utd
If tonight's game is as half as good of any the matches this season throughout the play-off season, then we should be in for a cracker!!!
I am still scratching my head as to why Leeds and Carlisle have to meet twice in the space of three days, when Doncaster and Southend, Wycombe and Stockport and Rochdale and Darlington have ALL had nearly a week to prepare for their respective 2nd legs.
Anyway Carlisle go into tonight's encounter leading 2-1 from the first leg which was played at Elland Road on Monday night. Dougie Freedman's late late goal has given Leeds half a chance to reach Wembley for the League One play-off final.
The game at Brunton Park kicks-off at 7.45pm and as with all the other games covered so far, scores, scorers and any other news will appear in the comments section. (Updates will appear every five minutes, unless any thing happens in between).

on Carlisle Utd at Elland Road, kick off at 7.45pm.
If you didn't know already Leeds lost 15 points at the start of the season
and to get into the play-offs is a massive achievement. Whether they can
sustain their momemtum and get promotion back into the Championship
remains to be seen.
In the latter of part of the season they lost Dennis Wise to Newcastle
United and before that Gus Poyet went back to Tottenham, as Assistant
Coach.

Your Complete Guide to the Football League Play-Offs: Crystal Palace v Bristol City
This Saturday lunchtime at a sun-drenched Selhurst Park Crystal Palace entertained Bristol City in the 1st leg of the Football League Championship play-off sponsored by Coca-Cola.
Bristol City took the lead in the 52nd minute from a wonderful Louis Carey strike, his first goal in some 500 appearances for Bristol City.
Palace equalised three minutes from time from a Ben Watson penalty after City's goalscoring hero had conceded the spot-kick.
No sooner had the 4th official indicated that there would be five minutes of injury time, City's David Noble from out of the blue struck a wonderful goal to put Bristol City 2-1 up.
Final score from Selhurst Park:
CRYSTAL PALACE 1-2 BRISTOL CITY

The first Football League play-off match of the season kicked off last night at Southend Utd's Roots Hall ground.
The result was a 0-0 draw in front of a crowd of over 9,000.
The highlight of the night was the sending off of Doncaster's Paul Heffernan for a headbutt on Southend's Charlie Mulgrew.

Bernabeau's Guard of Honour
It's bad enough having to qualify for next season's Champions League competition, but to have
to go to the Bernabeau the home of your fiercest rivals Real Madrid, and perform a Guard of
Honour to salute the 2007/08 La Liga champions (Real's 31st title) ... well..... and then you have
to play a game doesn't bear thinking about unless you are a Madridian.
Last season I had to laugh when Chelsea did it. ManURE played mostly reserves.
Insignificant really!
If there is any interest, the game kicks off at 9pm BST and there will be updates throughout
Wednesday evening.

Hot Totty for a Super Championship Sunday
Now I know there will be a lot of Championship fans up and down the country experiencing 'squeaky bum' time tomorrow (Sunday). For example: Leicester City fans at Stoke, Sheff Wed at home to Norwich City, Southampton at home to Sheff Utd, Blackpool at home to Barnsley and Coventry at Charlton.
Anyone of the highlighted teams can still take the third relegation spot along with Colchester United and Scunthorpe Utd into League One next season.
As for the Championship title, its between WBA and Stoke City. WBA need to match or better Stoke's result to secure the title. For Stoke to win the Championship, Stoke have to win and rely on WBA drawing or less. If either of the above results happen, Hull City will have to settle for the play-offs win or lose.
But if Stoke lose and Hull win, Hull will gain an automatic promotion place.
As for the play-off positions: Wolves, Ipswich and Sheff Utd are all in with a chance. C Palace, Watford, Bristol City and already mentioned Hull City currently hold the play off places.
There is an exciting day in prospect and no doubt from 2pm to 4pm (BST), there will be lots of excitement unfolding.
Join me from 2pm (Sunday BST) for all the action as it unfolds.

The REAL LATICS Win at Crewe
The REAL LATICS wrapped up their League One season this afternoon at Crewe's Gresty Road winning 4-1.
Crewe had to win to make sure of avoiding relegation to League Two. Even though Crewe lost, they are safe because of other results going in their favour.
Last week I did a 'wrap' of the REAL LATICS home form so here is a round-up of their away record for 2007/08.
Played: 23
Won: 8
Drawn: 6
Lost: 9
Goals scored: 26
Goals conceded: 25
I know of three people at Gresty Road this afternoon. A business associate of mine and his kids who are Oldham through and through. We were talking yesterday and he reckoned that The REAL LATICS would take about 2,000 even though Oldham had nothing to play for.
The rest of his family are all Man Utd and his sister lives in Crewe. Unfortunately he was unable to see his sister today because she was at Old Trafford to watch Utd beat West Ham 4-1 in the early Premiership kick-off.
As for the game itself. The REAL LATICS stormed into an early 2-0 lead with goals by Smalley on 5 mins and Neil Eardley, 32mins and that was the half-time score. The REAL LATICS continued their scoring in the second-half with Eardley getting his 2nd on 59mins and Gary McDonald wrapping it all up on 69 mins.
The attendance was 6,786.
